Coaching: Achieve Personal Breakthrough

The business world is beginning to learn what athletes and sports teams have always known:  “coaching can help you achieve higher levels of performance.”

A coach acts as a mirror, helping you recognise your strengths, overcome barriers and realise your full potential - in your professional and personal life.

find directionCoaching is a broad term and can mean different things to different people … and indeed in different contexts. At the Cape Leadership Centre, our approach to coaching basically is “guiding the client to find the solution.” This applies whether the client is a seasoned executive wanting to focus on a particular issue, or a team of people wanting to take their team performance to the next level.

On an individual level, we apply integral coaching, which focuses not on the issue, but on the whole person, their structure of interpretation and their way of being. On an organisational level, we offer both performance coaching and team coaching.

Whereas team coaching helps teams improve their performance by identifying and addressing conflict and individual stumbling blocks, performance coaching is focused on optimising performance through analysing work flow, identifying success measures, and driving culture change throughout the organisation.

When departments across companies become centres of excellence, the organisation cannot but follow. In other words, the process to becoming a high-performance organisation is often (and should be) a 2-way process; driven by leadership but made reality one team at a time.

Whether coaching teams or driving change through the entire organisation, leadership enrolment and support is a critical success factor.
